Ashley is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 18 years of experience in geotechnical, civil and structural engineering in the United Kingdom and overseas.

Since 2011, Ashley has been involved in the forensic investigation of a wide range of problems in the fields of geotechnical, civil and structural engineering, including the preparation of Expert Opinions for Court Proceedings, Adjudications, Arbitrations and Mediations, and advising on remedial works.  Ashley has acted as an Expert Witness and given evidence in Court and to other Tribunals. He has also been involved in alternative forms of dispute resolution, such as Adjudications and Mediations.

At the start of his career Ashley was involved with the design and analysis of a number of deep station boxes on the Dubai Metro Project and subsequently worked on a wide range of global infrastructure projects including Crossrail, Heathrow Terminal 2B and a major new highway in Vancouver.  Ashley's experience includes the design and construction of highways, railways, airports, bridges, underground structures, tunnels and foundations, working with a range of materials including reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber.  Ashley has been involved with the specification and interpretation of ground investigations and has carried out research and analysis into the complex engineering behaviour of soils, the interaction between structures and the ground, and seismic design.
